Their lineage can be attributed to successive waves of immigrants from countries within the Arab World, including but not limited to Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
It is estimated that upwards of 3.7 million Americans have familial ties to the Arab world, with the majority concentrated in eleven states mainly California, Michigan, Massachusetts, New York, Florida, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Virginia.
